Around 2017 or so I first became aware of laser engraving Fiber lasers, In 2018 I decided to establish Night Owl Mining (Pty) Ltd, with a then interest in cryptocurrency, especially the machinery used for mining, I then built several machines and had the best time doing so, I also learned a lot about the technology, operating systems etc...

 

In 2021 I was fortunate enough to have access to a 50W Fiber laser, I quickly learned just how powerful and versatile this machine was and decided to purchase my own, in February of 2022 my very first laser arrived and since then I have done many projects and many experiments learning so many more facets of these fantastic machines, I have since then purchased two gantry type Diode lasers as well, different to Fiber lasers but just as fascinating.
